Corynespora cassiicola is a pathogen that causes cucumber target leaf spot disease, which is a serious worldwide cucumber disease. In severe cases, the leaves are covered with lesions, turn yellow and die, resulting in a decline in the quality and yield of cucumbers. Cucumbers are widely cultivated in Guizhou Province, China, and the resulting vegetable industry has developed rapidly as a distinctive advantage. The cucumber target leaf spot disease caused by this pathogen was first discovered in Hainan, China in 1996. The disease occurs widely in cloudy and rainy seasons with high humidity in spring and autumn. By analyzing the transcriptome of C. cassiicola cultured in a PDB medium supplemented with pyrimethanil, it helps us understand the pathogenesis of C. cassiicola and further prevent and control cucumber target leaf spot disease caused by this pathogen in the field.
黄瓜棒孢叶斑病菌(Corynespora cassiicola)是引发黄瓜靶斑病的病原菌,该病害是全球范围内危害严重的黄瓜病害。发病严重时,叶片布满病斑并黄化枯死,导致黄瓜品质与产量大幅下降。中国贵州省黄瓜种植范围广泛,由此催生的特色优势蔬菜产业发展迅猛。该病原菌引发的黄瓜靶斑病于1996年首次在中国海南被发现。该病害在春、秋两季阴雨高湿的气候条件下广泛发生。通过对添加了嘧霉胺(pyrimethanil)的PDB培养基中培养的C. cassiicola进行转录组分析,有助于我们解析该病菌的致病机制,进而为田间该病原菌引发的黄瓜靶斑病的防控提供理论支撑。
