The goal of this project is to determine the critical genes and pathways associated with physiological aging in mouse aortas. Overall design: We isolated aortas from young (14.5 weeks) and old (92.5 weeks) mice and extracted total RNA for RNA-seq. Each group inlcudes 5 male mice. Mouse background is C57BL/6. We want to determine differentially expressed genes in young and old aortas in mice through RNA-seq analysis and thus reveal critical genes/pathways regulated by arterial aging.

本研究的目标为鉴定与小鼠主动脉生理性衰老相关的关键基因及信号通路。研究整体设计如下:我们从14.5周龄年轻小鼠与92.5周龄老年小鼠体内分离主动脉,并提取总RNA开展RNA测序(RNA-seq)。每组均包含5只雄性小鼠,实验所用小鼠的遗传背景为C57BL/6品系。本研究拟通过RNA-seq分析鉴定小鼠年轻与衰老主动脉间的差异表达基因,进而揭示动脉衰老调控的关键基因与信号通路。
