2.6万年来两地区均始终以草原植被的PFT值最高。靖边地区绝大部分时间内沙漠植被PFT值高于落叶阔叶林,只有全新世晚期极少数时间前者低于或等于后者,可见此区域内干旱性植被比喜湿性植被占优势。而富县地区全新世之前,沙漠植被PFT值高于落叶阔叶林,全新世早-中期,落叶阔叶林PFT值却高于沙漠植被,且沙漠植被PFT值几乎为零,全新世晚期,两者PFT值大小有所波动,草原植被分值达到最高。

Over the past 26,000 years, grassland vegetation PFT values have consistently been the highest in both regions. For the vast majority of this period in the Jingbian region, the PFT values of desert vegetation were higher than those of deciduous broad-leaved forests; only during an extremely short period in the late Holocene were the former lower than or equal to the latter. This demonstrates that drought-adapted vegetation is more dominant than moisture-loving vegetation in this area. In the Fuxian region, prior to the Holocene, the PFT values of desert vegetation were higher than those of deciduous broad-leaved forests. During the early and middle Holocene, however, the PFT values of deciduous broad-leaved forests exceeded those of desert vegetation, while the PFT values of desert vegetation were nearly zero. In the late Holocene, the PFT values of the two vegetation types fluctuated, and the grassland vegetation PFT values reached their maximum.
