Here, we performed multiple transcriptomic analyses in An. coluzzii legs. First, we compared the leg vs whole body transcriptome to identify leg-specific genes. Next, we compared the leg transcriptomes of a multi-resistant strain (VK7) with two susceptible strains, to identify leg-expressed genes implicated in pyrethroid resistance. Last, to identify genes implicated in short-term deltamethrin induction, we investigated the leg transcriptome of VK7 after 1-hr deltamethrin exposure.
