Neural Data from Macaque Monkey Jenkins

This dataset contains neural recordings from the primary motor cortex (M1) and caudal dorsal premotor cortex (PMd) of a rhesus macaque named Jenkins, which were collected while the monkey performed repeated reaching tasks. It captures the spiking activity of 192 distinct neurons, and includes continuous measurements of Jenkins' hand position and velocity. In terms of scale, the dataset spans thousands of trials and over a dozen hours of total recording time. The research applications supported by this dataset include decoding brain signals into robotic arm movements, as well as encoding arm movements into synthetic neural data.
