De-novo profiling of RNA viruses in Anopheles mosquitoes from forest ecological zones of Cambodia and Senegal

The objective of the study is the profiling of RNA viruses in populations of Anopheles mosquitoes from forest ecological zones of Cambodia and Senegal (four zones in each country). For this purpose it has been employed a combination of long (8 libraries, one per pool) and small (16 libraries, 2 per pool) RNA sequencing, yielding 123 novel RNA viruses not previously described in sequence databanks.

本研究旨在解析柬埔寨与塞内加尔两国森林生态区（两国各设4个采样区）的按蚊（Anopheles）种群所携带的RNA病毒组。为此，本研究联合运用长RNA测序（8个文库，每个混合样本对应1个文库）与小RNA测序（16个文库，每个混合样本对应2个文库）技术，最终在序列数据库中发现了123种此前未被报道的新型RNA病毒。
