Ectomycorrhizal fungal communities of whitebark pine in interior British Columbia, Canada

Whitebark pine is an endangered species and requires ectomycorrhizal associations for normal growth and survival. The objectives of this project were to describe the ectomycorrhizal fungal community associated with whitebark pine in interior British Columbia and examine how that community differed between naturally regenerated and planted trees and as a function of tree health, tree age and soil properties.

美国白皮松（Whitebark pine）为濒危物种，其正常生长与存活依赖外生菌根真菌（ectomycorrhizal fungi）共生关系。本研究旨在描述不列颠哥伦比亚省内陆地区与美国白皮松共生的外生菌根真菌群落，并探究该群落在天然更新林木与人工栽植林木间的差异，以及其随林木健康状况、树龄与土壤特性变化的规律。
