Effects of obesity on foot structure and function in pre-school children

The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of obesity on foot structure and function in pre-school children (aged 3-5 years). This was investigated by measuring external and internal foot structures as well evaluating the function each child¿s foot via plantar pressures. Correlations between each of the measurements and body mass index values were calculated as well as comparisons between overweight/obese and non-overweight children were made for each of the measurements.

本研究旨在探究肥胖对学龄前儿童（3-5岁）足部结构与功能的影响。研究通过测量足部内外结构，并借助足底压力评估每名儿童的足部功能来开展调查。研究计算了各项测量指标与体重指数（Body Mass Index, BMI）值之间的相关性，并针对每项指标对超重/肥胖儿童与非超重儿童进行了组间比较。
