PISCO: Intertidal: MLPA baseline: Central Coast: MARINe Core Surveys: Transects

This metadata record documents the Transect Survey data for MLPA baseline intertidal MARINe Core surveys conducted by PISCO. These surveys are conducted throughout the year at intertidal sites ranging from Pigeon Point in the north to Point Conception in the south. In 2007, 11 additional MARINe Core sites were established along the coast of central California to monitor Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) established by the Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA).
