Algal species abundances

Species abundance data were collected in rocky intertidal habitat on a moderately exposed shore at Rush, Co. Dublin, Ireland between August 2012 and August 2013.

Column headers are as follows:

(A) Common headers: "Date" = Sampling date (yyyy-mm-dd); "Cage" = Cage present (C1 = caged, using 35 x 35 cm fence enclosed with lid; C0 = uncaged); "Variability" = Consumer (Littorina littorea) variability treatment (Const = constant, i.e. maintained at 30 individuals per cage; Var_1 = 'variable1', i.e. alternating between 15 and 45 individuals/cage every 2 months; Var_2 = 'variable2', i.e. alternating between 45 and 15 individuals/cage every 2 months; Amb = ambient, i.e. unmanipulated in uncaged plots); "Sediment" = Sedimentation treatment (S0 = ambient, i.e. no additional sediment added; S1 = elevated, i.e. 400 g sediment added to plot every month); "Plot_no" = Unique plot identifier.

(C) 'Microalgae' datasheet: "Sample_no" = Replicate sample (representing one of three readings taken per settlement tile fixed within each plot); "Total_conc_ug.cm-2" = Total microalgal concentration, micrograms per sq. cm, measured using Benthotorch benthic fluorometer (bbe Moldaenke GmbH, Germany).

列标题设置如下：

(A) 通用列标题：
"Date"：采样日期（格式为yyyy-mm-dd）；
"Cage"：笼网设置（C1为有笼网组，采用35×35 cm带盖围栏；C0为无笼网组）；
"Variability"：消费者（滨螺Littorina littorea）密度变异处理组：Const为恒定组，即每个笼网维持30只个体；Var_1为"变异组1"，即每2个月在15只/笼与45只/笼之间交替调整；Var_2为"变异组2"，即每2个月在45只/笼与15只/笼之间交替调整；Amb为自然对照组，即无笼网样地中未进行人工调控；
"Sediment"：沉积物添加处理组：S0为自然对照组，即未额外添加沉积物；S1为加高组，即每月向样地添加400 g沉积物；

(B) 大型藻类（Macroalgae）数据表：
"Lit_lit_m-2"：35×35 cm有笼网样地与25×25 cm无笼网样地内的成体（体长＞5 mm）滨螺（Littorina littorea）密度（单位：只/平方米）；
大型藻类物种盖度百分比通过25×25 cm样方（含64个采样交点）估算得到，各物种对应列标题如下：
"Lith_spp"：石枝藻属（Lithothamnia spp.）；
"Bry_sp1"：羽藻属未定种（Bryopsis sp.）；
"Cer_shu"：希氏杉藻（Ceramium shuttleworthianum）；
