Study Hypotheses

H1. It will turn out that interpersonal rejection has a negative relationship with loneliness.
H2. Interpersonal misperception in individuals will cause a negative relationship with loneliness.
H3. An individual’s experience of community unrealistic relationship expectations will positively be associated with loneliness.
H4. The relationship between loneliness and life satisfaction will be negative.
H5. Loneliness has a mediation effect in the association between interpersonal cognitive distortions and life satisfaction

A simple random sampling technique, which is among the random sampling techniques, was used in the sampling stage. We sent an invitation to more than 1500 people in Istanbul. Interested participants could click on the link in the invitation to be directed to the survey’s website. To test our hypotheses, 1039 people residing within the borders of Istanbul province participated in this research. However, due to the incomplete and careless filling of the questionnaires by the participants, 61 people were excluded from the data analysis, and 978 people were analyzed.

抽样阶段采用了简单随机抽样法（属于随机抽样方法范畴）。研究团队向伊斯坦布尔的1500余名居民发送了调研邀请，有参与意愿的受试者可点击邀请中的链接跳转至调研问卷官网。为验证本研究的各项假设，最终共有1039名居住于伊斯坦布尔省辖区内的居民参与了本次研究。但由于部分参与者填写问卷时存在内容不完整、敷衍草率的情况，最终有61份问卷被排除在数据分析之外，最终纳入分析的有效样本量为978份。
