To Be a Flower or Fruiting Branch: Insights Revealed by mRNA and Small RNA Transcriptomes from Different Cotton Developmental Stages

Purpose: found out the regulated genes of nulliplex-branch and its forming molecular mechanism Methods: shoot apical mRNA and miRNA in two nulliplex branch and two normal branch cotton of three development stages were generated by deep sequencing, in triplicate, using Illumina HiSeq 2000. Results: we found 3 825 and 353 specific stage differnent expressed genes in pre-budding stage of island cotton and upland cotton, respectively. In miRNA, we found 16 and 18 specific stage differnent expressed miRNA in pre-budding stageof island cotton and upland cotton, respectively. Conclusions: Our study represents the genes and miRNA control development of lateral branch and regulate flowering time at same times. Overall design: Shoot apical mRNA and miRNA of normal branch cotton and nulliplex branch botton were generated by deep sequencing, in triplicate, using Illumina HiSeq 2000.

研究方法:采用Illumina HiSeq 2000平台,对3个发育时期的2株零分枝棉花与2株正常分枝棉花的茎尖信使RNA(mRNA)和微小RNA(miRNA)进行三次生物学重复的深度测序。
研究结果:本研究在海岛棉(island cotton)与陆地棉(upland cotton)的现蕾前期(pre-budding stage)分别鉴定出3825个和353个阶段特异性差异表达基因;在miRNA层面,海岛棉与陆地棉的现蕾前期分别鉴定出16个和18个阶段特异性差异表达miRNA。
研究结论:本研究揭示了可同时调控棉花侧枝发育与开花时间的基因及miRNA。
试验设计:采用Illumina HiSeq 2000平台,对正常分枝棉花与零分枝棉花的茎尖mRNA和miRNA进行三次生物学重复的深度测序。
