Intralesional Candida antigen versus intralesional tuberculin in the treatment of recalcitrant genital warts: A comparative study

Treatment of genital warts using intralesional immunotherapy has been recently investigated in a few studies and showed promising efficacy and safety, and low recurrence rates as compared to traditional ablative therapies.
In this study, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of intralesional Candida antigen injection versus intralesional tuberculin injection in the treatment of recalcitrant genital warts. According to the presented results, intralesional immunotherapy by Candida antigen and tuberculin seems to be a promising alternative modality for the treatment of recalcitrant multiple genital warts.

近年来，已有多项研究探索了病灶内免疫疗法（intralesional immunotherapy）治疗尖锐湿疣（genital warts）的应用，相较于传统消融治疗（ablative therapies），该疗法展现出良好的疗效与安全性，且复发率更低。
本研究评估了病灶内注射念珠菌抗原（Candida antigen）与病灶内注射结核菌素（tuberculin）治疗难治性尖锐湿疣（recalcitrant genital warts）的疗效与安全性。基于本研究所得结果，采用念珠菌抗原与结核菌素的病灶内免疫疗法，有望成为难治性多发性尖锐湿疣的潜在替代治疗方案。
