Borrowed Blueprints, Broken Systems: The Moderating Effect of State Capacities on the Diffusion of "Digital Authoritarianism" in Eurasia (Datasets and Supplementary Materials)

This repository contains the supplementary materials (qualitative) and a replication dataset for the 2026 article 'Borrowed Blueprints, Broken Systems: The Moderating Effect of State Capacities on the Diffusion of “Digital Authoritarianism” in Eurasia' in East European Politics. The supplementary materials systematize qualitative data on exposure to authoritarian diffusion and other relevant variables in the cases of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The dataset covers the variable of "exposure to authoritarian diffusion". It is a manually constructed index based on the trade with “authoritarian gravity centres”, participation in military alliances with autocracies; and participation in authoritarian regional integration organizations.本仓库包含发表于《东欧政治学（East European Politics）》2026年的论文《借来的蓝图，崩坏的体系：国家能力对欧亚大陆“数字威权主义”传播的调节效应》的补充定性材料与复现数据集。 该补充材料系统整理了哈萨克斯坦与吉尔吉斯斯坦两个案例中，威权主义传播接触度及其他相关变量的定性数据。 本数据集涵盖"威权主义传播接触度"变量。该指标为人工构建的综合指数，其构建依据包括与"威权引力中心"的贸易往来、参与专制国家军事联盟，以及加入威权主义区域一体化组织的情况。
