Genome sequencing of wild rice Oryza alta accessions. Oryza alta

Wild rice Oryza alta plants are allotetraploids having CCDD genomes. Oryza alta is distinguished from Oryza latifolia by its large seed and wide leaf width, but these characters are expressed in continuous variation so that the relationship of the two species is not clear in many aspects. In order to obtain genome sequence information of the two species, we sequenced a total of three O. alta accessions by Illumina HiSeq 2500.

高秆野生稻（Oryza alta）为异源四倍体，基因组组成为CCDD。高秆野生稻可凭借籽粒更大、叶片更宽的性状与阔叶野生稻（Oryza latifolia）相区分，但上述性状均呈现连续变异，因此二者的物种分类关系在诸多层面仍不明确。为获取这两个物种的基因组序列信息，本研究采用Illumina HiSeq 2500测序平台，共对3份高秆野生稻种质材料进行了测序。
