Chatham Wetlands (NWI)

Polygon data published by the National Wetlands Inventory to delineate and classify details about wetland type and usage. Data was clipped to Chatham County using the polygon feature "BND_Chatham_Water". Downloaded 8/29/2018 Dataset last edited May 2018. The present goal of the Service is to provide the citizens of the United States and its Trust Territories with current geospatially referenced information on the status, extent, characteristics and functions of wetlands, riparian, deepwater and related aquatic habitats in priority areas to promote the understanding and conservation of these resources.
