VPRS 19109 Nursing Aide Training and Examination Records, State Enrolled Nurses

This series comprises records of relating to Nursing Aide training and examinations created by the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) (VA 1048). The RMH ran State Enrolled Nurses (Nurse’s Aides) training from circa 1960 to 1983. Records include: Program Meetings agendas and minutes; papers on the proposed curriculum; a report concerning a training school as a single centre or regional schools in the Melbourne Metropolitan area; a report on advantages and disadvantages of both a 12 and 18 month course; and summary records of final results, exam papers and minutes of meetings of panel of examiners for the Nursing Aide registration exams.
