“Confiados na justiça da sua causa, sabedoria, e incansável zelo a prol da Província”: o Conselho Geral de Minas Gerais como espaço de participação dos cidadãos (1828-1834)

Abstract In this article, we intend to analyze a corpus of petitions presented to the General Council of the province of Minas Gerais between 1828 and 1834. Our goals will be, firstly, to characterize and explain the assessments conveyed by the petitioners about their society. To accomplish it, we read such discourses through a set of social strategies and rhetorical devices that were instrumental in their uses. Secondly, we will focus on the role played by the General Council in Minas Gerais, with special emphasis on the implications of the petitioner’s movement in the dynamics of the institution in its task of proposing, deliberating and discussing the province’s affairs.

摘要：本文旨在分析1828年至1834年间提交至米纳斯吉拉斯省总委员会（General Council of the Province of Minas Gerais）的请愿书语料库。本研究的核心目标分为两部分：其一，刻画并阐释请愿者所传递的关于其所处社会的评价；为此，我们将借助在该类请愿话语运用中发挥关键作用的一系列社会策略与修辞手段，对这些话语展开解读。其二，本研究将聚焦米纳斯吉拉斯省总委员会所扮演的角色，重点关注请愿者的行动对该机构在提议、审议并讨论本省事务的履职过程中的运作动态所产生的影响。
