The document contains Ar-Ar age data of muscovite from the Hunan Hengdong cobalt deposit area. The experimental procedures are as follows: Selected samples were crushed to a particle size of 60-80 mesh, then muscovite was hand-picked under a binocular microscope and cleaned in an ultrasonic bath with deionized water for 30 minutes. After the mineral separates were purified to a purity of 99%, the prepared muscovite samples and the monitoring standard biotite ZBH-25 (approximately 132.5 Ma) were irradiated in the 49-2 reactor of the China Institute of Atomic Energy for 25 hours. After cooling for three months, the samples were analyzed via the 40Ar-39Ar laser heating method. The correction factors for the analytical values are: (39Ar/37Ar)Ca = 0.000653, (36Ar/37Ar)Ca = 0.000271, and (40Ar/39Ar)K = 0.00703. The total decay constant of 40K reported by Steiger and Jager (1977) was adopted. The 40Ar/39Ar results were calculated and plotted using the ArArCALC software. The data is available for subsequent geochemical analyses of the Hunan Hengdong cobalt deposit and similar deposits in northeastern Hunan Province. The aforementioned data has been published in a high-impact SCI journal, and the data is authentic and reliable. The data is stored in Word documents.
