The evolution of stellar coronae from the PMS through the ZAMS

We propose to obtain high quality coronal spectraof 3 premain sequence stars, using the RGS, todetermine their emission measure distributions andcoronal abundances. Together with 3 GTO targets,these stars form a matched grid of cTT, nTT, andZAMS stars to let us study the evolution of coronalproperties from accreting PMS stars through thedevelopment of a radiative core, extending studies ofthe evolution of coronal properties back to ages of12 million years.
