Data Extraction Dataset for: A Systematic Literature Review of Retrieval-Augmented Generation: Trends, Techniques, Metrics and Challenges

This dataset contains study-level extractions for a systematic literature review of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and related methods. Data were organised in Google Sheets and references managed in EndNote. For each included paper we record: Article Title EndNote Reference ID Year Citation Count (at time of extraction) Domain Area Specific Task Datasets Used Technique - Chunking Mechanism Technique - Retrieval Mechanism Technique - Vector Space Encoder Technique - Generation Model Entries were compiled into a structured database to support analysis, synthesis and reporting; each record was verified against the source article to correct mismatches or omissions.
