Using focus groups and semi-structured interviews this qualitative piece of research looked at the experience of 14 asylum-seeker background participants in terms of accessing Higher Education. Approval was given for working with this vulnerable group of adults from the Brunel Research Ethics Online (BREO). The participants did not have to be actively seeking Higher Education (although the majority were) they just had to have an interest in accessing Higher Education in the UK for themselves or their children. All participants were currently living in London. They were aged from 18 to 47. This dataset provides the transcripts from the semi-structured interviews (SSI) and focus groups (FG).
