Retail Vacant Storefronts - Historical Vacancies

The Economic Opportunity and Development Division of the Community Development Department maintains a listing of Cambridge's ground floor vacant storefronts. The data is collected approximately twice a year and sourced from Costar (an online real estate database), Cambridge Assessing Property Database, and staff commercial district inventory collection.

This historical dataset is a compilation of vacancy datasets published from April 2019 onwards. The data in each record of this historical dataset reflects conditions at the property only at the time the dataset was published, as indicated in the Dataset Year and Dataset Month fields. We are maintaining this historical dataset to facilitate analysis of vacancies over time, but data users should be aware that the historical data is very likely to be out of date and not necessarily reflective of current vacancies.
