Chemical-physical parameters, major, minor, trace elements and stable isotopic composition of groundwater belonging to the hydrogeological basin of Trapani Mounts, Sicily (Italy)

This dataset concerns the hydrogeological basin of Trapani Mounts that is located in the westernmost sector of Sicily, near the city of Trapani. Geochemical methods have been an useful tools for understanding processes altering the quality of groundwaters during their flow, such as the interactions between host rocks and groundwater and pollution coming from human activities. Records include: chemical-physical parameters, major elements, minor elements, trace elements and stable isotopic composition of water collected from 7 wells and 19 springs during 2004-2005. This study is part of the Water Protection Plan of the Sicilian Regional Government.
