This study evaluated the use of hybridization probe capture for targeted genomic sequencing of coronaviruses in oral and rectal swab specimens collected from bats in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Probe capture identified 5 specimens with novel alpha- and betacoronaviruses. These were deep sequenced to retrieve full genomes for these novel viruses.
