Weaning Piglet Gut Microbiome

The effect of weaning age on the piglet gut microbiome was evaluated by collecting fecal swabs from piglets and sows. Piglets were weaned at 14 days, 21 days or 28 days and fecal swabs were collected from day four until the pigs reached market weight. Fecal swabs from the sows were taken from day zero and at each weaning date.

本研究通过采集仔猪与母猪的粪便拭子，评估断奶日龄对仔猪肠道微生物组的影响。试验仔猪分别于14日龄、21日龄及28日龄断奶，自第4日起采集粪便拭子，直至仔猪达到商品上市体重。母猪的粪便拭子则于实验第0日及各断奶时间点进行采集。
