Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) belonging to the Asteraceae family (2n=22) is a perennial herb and is famous for its sweetness. In an attempt to understand the biosynthetic pathways of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), we acquired the transcriptome data from four different tissues of stevia using the RNA-Seq method. Here, we report a detailed analysis of VOCs emitted by stevia tissues, de novo assembly of the of stevia leaf, flower, stem and root transcriptomes and annotatation the unigenes.
甜叶菊(Stevia rebaudiana)隶属于菊科(Asteraceae),染色体倍性为2n=22,是一种以优异甜度著称的多年生草本植物。为解析挥发性有机化合物(Volatile Organic Compounds, VOCs)的生物合成途径,本研究通过RNA-Seq技术获取了甜叶菊四种不同组织的转录组数据。本研究详细分析了甜叶菊各组织释放的挥发性有机化合物,完成了甜叶菊叶、花、茎及根转录组的从头组装,并对单基因(unigenes)进行了功能注释。
