Data: EEG contaminated by facial EMG
The dataset contains the EMG and EEG signals collected for the study of contamination by facial EMG on EEG.
For each volunteer (S1 to S10), there are five “.mat” files, referring to the five muscles activated to generate contamination of facial EMG on EEG.
For each muscle there are some variables:
1. amplifier_data:
It is a matrix with the EMG (card A) and EEG (card B) signals collected. The
amplifier_channels structure and the t_amplifier vector refere to amplifier_data
matrix.
2. board_dig_in_data:
As expected in the experimental protocol, the collection is performed with the
eyes in two states: only open and only closed. The board_dig_in_data variable
contains digital values (0 or 1). The first moment containing 1s marks the
beginning of the eye-open-only state and the second moment indicates the eye-closed-only state. The board_dig_in_channels structure and the t_dig vector refere
to board_dig_in_data variable.
3. supply_voltage_data:
Data collection is performed by two acquisition cards, A(EMG) and B(EEG). The
supply voltage of each card is monitored, and the measured values are stored in
this variable. The supply_voltage_channels structure and the t_supply_voltage
vector refere to supply_voltage_data variable.
EMG and EEG data
The data of interest for the collection are in the amplifier_data variable, a matrix
with n rows and m columns, where n is the number of channels (EMG and EEG) and m is the number of data acquired at the sampling frequency for the entire collection time interval. EMG channels are collected by “Port A”, and EEG channels are collected by “Port B”, but all EMG and EEG data are in the same amplifier_data variable. The name “Port A” or “Port B” comes from the choice of cable used to connect the acquisition cards to the RHD2000 USB interface system. Thus, based on the choice adopted in connecting the EMG and EEG cards in this research, the amplifier_data variable has the first lines belonging to “Port A” (EMG) and the other lines of the matrix being from “Port B” (EEG). The amplifier_channels structure indicates which card was used with the name “Port A” and “Port B” in the port_name field.
EMG data
The muscle signal data does not have a specific and fixed channel between collections. Thus, the channel number for a muscle must be verified at each data collection. The information for each channel must be consulted in the amplifier_channels structure at the custom_channel_name field.
EEG data
A bipolar 16-channel acquisition card acquires EEG signals. The channels of each
EEG sensor are the same for all collections, thanks to the use of the adapted EEG cap, and the connection of the EEG signals card is always carried out on the same cable B. The EEG cap has bipolar transverse mounting configuration.

数据集:受面部肌电(EMG)污染的脑电图(EEG)
本数据集收录了为研究面部肌电(EMG)对脑电图(EEG)的污染效应而采集的肌电与脑电信号。
针对10名志愿者(编号S1至S10),每位志愿者对应5个.mat格式文件,分别对应5种可诱发EEG污染的面部激活肌肉。
每个肌肉对应以下变量:
1. 放大器采集数据(amplifier_data):
该变量为包含采集到的肌电(EMG)与脑电(EEG)信号的矩阵。放大器通道结构(amplifier_channels)与t_amplifier向量用于标注该矩阵的相关信息。
2. 板载数字输入数据(board_dig_in_data):
依据实验方案,数据采集在两种眼部状态下完成:仅睁眼与仅闭眼。板载数字输入数据变量存储数字值(0或1),首次出现1的时刻标记仅睁眼状态的起始,第二次出现1的时刻则标记仅闭眼状态的起始。板载数字输入通道结构(board_dig_in_channels)与t_dig向量用于标注该变量的相关信息。
3. 供电电压数据(supply_voltage_data):
本数据集通过两张采集卡完成信号采集:A卡用于肌电(EMG)采集,B卡用于脑电(EEG)采集。两张采集卡的供电电压均被实时监测,测量值存储于该变量中。供电电压通道结构(supply_voltage_channels)与t_supply_voltage向量用于标注该变量的相关信息。
肌电与脑电数据
本研究关注的核心数据存储于放大器采集数据(amplifier_data)变量中,该变量为n行m列的矩阵:n为通道总数(含肌电与脑电通道),m为整个采集时段内以采样频率获取的总数据点数。肌电通道通过Port A采集,脑电通道通过Port B采集,两类信号均整合于同一amplifier_data矩阵中。Port A与Port B的命名源于采集卡连接至RHD2000 USB接口系统时所选用的线缆类型。基于本研究中肌电与脑电采集卡的连接方案,amplifier_data矩阵的前若干行对应Port A(肌电信号),剩余行则对应Port B(脑电信号)。放大器通道结构(amplifier_channels)的port_name字段可标注各通道所属的端口类型。
肌电数据
肌电信号数据在不同采集批次间不存在固定的通道编号。因此,每一批次采集时,均需通过放大器通道结构(amplifier_channels)的custom_channel_name字段查询各肌肉信号对应的通道编号。
脑电数据
本研究采用16通道双极型采集卡获取脑电(EEG)信号。由于使用了定制化脑电帽,所有采集批次中各脑电传感器的通道编号保持一致,且脑电采集卡始终通过同一根Port B线缆连接。该脑电帽采用双极横向安装配置。
