Global carbon dioxide emissions growth by major country 2018-2019

Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions increased by approximately 0.1 percent worldwide between 2018 and 2019. Countries such as the United States and Japan recorded reductions of 2.6 percent in 2019 compared to 2018, while CO2 emissions in OECD Europe fell 4.3 percent. However, in the same period emissions in China grew 2.2 percent, and in Indonesia they increased by seven percent.
