In this study, we combined cell-specific laser capture and RNA-seq analysis to investigate transcriptome changes in both amyloid-ß plaque-associated and plaque-distant microglia at different stages of the disease. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for microglia isolated from APP/PS1 AD mice at 4, 8 and 12 months of age.
