For several years on sweet pepper IGP from the countryside of Senise, located in Basilicata region, southern Italy symptoms of chlorosis were commonly observed. Also the sterility of the plants was often registered. Since this phenomenon is having a worrying growth studies were undertaken to understand and analyze its possible causes.
