Clitarchus hookeri Genome and transcriptome sequencing project. Clitarchus hookeri

Clitarchus hookeri genome was sequenced, assembled and analysed. We also performed an analysis of the RNA-Seq data sequenced from female reproductive tract and the male testis for identifying genes that are essential to gamete production and maturation. The identified candidate genes predominantly expressed in the gonad of one sex and the genes involved in the juvenile hormone pathway provide candidates for the further study of stick insect reproductive flexibility.

本研究对霍氏细颈竹节虫（Clitarchus hookeri）的基因组完成了测序、组装与分析。此外，我们针对取自雌性生殖道与雄性睾丸的RNA测序（RNA-Seq）数据展开分析，旨在筛选出对配子生成与成熟至关重要的基因。本次鉴定获得的、主要在单一性别性腺中特异性表达的候选基因，以及参与保幼激素通路的相关基因，可为后续探究竹节虫生殖可塑性的研究提供候选靶标。
