CHRONOTOPE AND THE SYSTEM OF IMAGES AS CARRIERS OF SEMANTIC AND CULTURAL SPECIFICITY

The problem of the chronotope is one of the central and most interesting in contemporary literary studies. Leading Russian and international scholars are engaged in its study. The category of chronotope is the subject of the works of M.M. Bakhtin, B.A. Uspensky, Yu.M. Lotman, A.B. Esin, V.E. Khalizev, A.I. Kovtun, L.G. Babenko, T.Kh. Kerimov, U. Eco, B.K. Maitanov, Sh.R. Eleukenov, V.V. Savelyeva, and others.
