Gene expression (RNA-Seq) in ventral tegmental area of mice with positive and negative social experience

Whole transcriptome analysis in the ventral tegmental area of male mice of C57BL/6J with positive or negative social experience was done. The database allows to reveal differentially expressed genes that are involved in formation of aggressive and submissive types of behaviors in daily agonistic interactions. Our behavioral approach allows to explore the molecular mechanisms of pathological behaviors. Databases can be useful for specialists in the field of molecular psychiatry.

本研究对经历正性或负性社交体验的C57BL/6J雄性小鼠的腹侧被盖区（ventral tegmental area）开展了全转录组分析（whole transcriptome analysis）。该数据集可用于揭示在日常争斗互动中参与攻击型与顺从型行为形成过程的差异表达基因（differentially expressed genes）。本研究采用的行为学方法可用于探索病理行为的分子机制。该数据集可供分子精神病学领域的专业人员使用。
