Supplementary data for: Eocene lacustrine–volcaniclastic deposits at Aliabad (Central Iran): A possible Proto-basin of the Oligo-Miocene Qom Formation

This supplementary dataset supports the article “Eocene lacustrine–volcaniclastic deposits at Aliabad (Central Iran): A possible Proto-basin of the Oligo-Miocene Qom Formation”.

It includes one supplementary figure (Figure S1) and six supplementary tables (Tables S1–S6). The dataset contains results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses of fine-grained sedimentary facies, petrographic frequency analysis of volcaniclastic components, whole-rock geochemical data obtained by XRF (major oxides and trace elements), stratigraphic descriptions of the Qom Formation units, and a comparative table of key attributes of the Aliabad deposits with selected European analogues (Thrace Basin and Messel Formation).

These data provide supporting mineralogical, geochemical, petrographic, and stratigraphic information used in the interpretation of the depositional environment and basin evolution discussed in the main article.
