表1 澳大利亚近海四个区域6次生物多样性调查中八放珊瑚（octocoral）采集的采样站数量与深度范围汇总；采样站数量按采样渔具类型细分（渔具类型及调查代码的参考文献详见正文）。本次统计分别列出了采集到八放珊瑚的采样站数量及其对应的深度范围。
调查区域依次为：塔斯曼海北部、澳大利亚东南部海域、澳大利亚西南部海域、澳大利亚西北部海域及总计。各次调查的年份分别为2003年、1997年、2007年、2008年、2005年、2007年，整体调查周期为1997–2008年。调查代码依次为Tan0308、SS01/97、SS02/07、TT01/08、SS10/05、SS05/07，总计行标注为"总计"。
各区域及总体的深度范围（单位：米）分别为：77–192、76、70–169、4105–1255、729–3950、86–1092、78–1022、77–3950。
采样站数量统计分为总数与物种级鉴定采样（SP-Sample）两类，各区域及总计的对应数值依次为：57、47、28、27、46、45、77、57、74、64、54、51、336、291。
按采样渔具类型细分的统计如下：
1. 桁杆拖网（Beam trawl）：13、10、37、30、33、30、8、37、2
2. 联邦科学与工业研究组织（CSIRO）谢尔曼式雪橇采样器：16、13、27、26、46、45、37、32、12、12、138、128
