This paper-based collection of records from the Victorian National Parks Association (VPNA) includes: Gwynneth Taylor Papers 1964-1985; Ted Davies (manuscript); Janet Coveney (publications); files relating to reserves 1945-1983; files relating to Friends groups 1960s-1995; council minutes 1953-1989; executive minutes 1983-1989; records of predecessor or relisted organizations or campaigns (e.g. Victorian Advisory Council of Flora and Fauna 1929-1946, Little Desert Campaign 1959-1988); VNPA Newsletter 1953-1973; journal 1973-1978, Parkwatch 1978-1995; material re Wilson's Promontory (much of it from Ros Garnet); extracts from Government Gazettes regarding flora, fauna, and nature reserves regulations; material relating to formation of VNPA (including a printed report of a 1908 public meeting); correspondence, cuttings etc. relating to various deputations, pieces of legislation, conferences, and specific parks and campaigns.

The Victorian National Parks Association was established in 1952 to lobby for the creation of new national parks and improved management of existing ones.
