In adult male rats, we sought to characterise the effects of prebiotics, faecal microbiota transfer and natural recolonisation on the gut microbiota after 4-week administration of a cocktail of antibiotics or vehicle. 16S sequencing of the caecal contents was performed for microbiota analysis.
