The case study of the Carmyle-Westburn Viaduct in Glasgow (UK) for the sustainable reuse of abandoned urban transport infrastructures

The case study of the Carmyle-Westburn viaduct - an abandoned railway bridge in the suburbs of Glasgow (UK) - has been developed with the aim to define and test a methodological approach for the reuse of abandoned transport infrastructures. The developed framework aims to guide decision making towards evidence-based and sustainable proposals.The case study was carried out through action research and consultation with various stakeholders. The interviews were conducted face-to-face and in two consecutive phases, with the aim of achieving the final validation of the results.

本案例研究以英国格拉斯哥市郊的废弃铁路桥梁卡米尔-韦斯特本高架桥（Carmyle-Westburn Viaduct）为研究对象，旨在构建并测试一套面向废弃交通基础设施再利用的方法论体系。所搭建的研究框架旨在为决策提供科学指引，助力制定循证且可持续的再利用方案。本案例研究通过行动研究与多方利益相关方咨询相结合的方式实施。访谈采用面对面形式，分两个连续阶段开展，以完成对研究结果的最终验证。
