Genetic Basis of Wooden Breast and White Striping in Commercial Broiler Chickens

To gain insight into the genetic basis of wooden breast and white striping in broiler chickens, a genome-wide association study was conducted using a commercial crossbred broiler population (n = 1193). Chickens were evaluated for wooden breast, white striping, and body weight at 13 days and 7 weeks of age. Genotyping was performed using restriction enzyme-based genotyping by sequencing and quantitative trait loci were detected using single-SNP analysis and Bayesian multi-marker regression (BayesB).

为解析肉鸡木质胸肌症与白条纹病变的遗传基础，本研究针对商业杂交肉鸡群体（n=1193）开展全基因组关联分析。于13日龄及7周龄时，对受试肉鸡的木质胸肌症、白条纹病变及体重进行表型评估。基因分型采用基于限制性酶切的测序分型技术（restriction enzyme-based genotyping by sequencing）完成；数量性状基因座（quantitative trait loci, QTL）的检测则采用单SNP分析与贝叶斯多标记回归（BayesB）方法。
