Amphitrite

This large statue is a depiction of Amphitrite, Poseidon's wife and the goddess and queen of the sea. She was the main of the Nereids and was often represented among sea creatures, just like in this piece. The author, Andreas Schluter, was a German architect and sculptor, known for his architectural decorative sculptures and the equestrian statue of Elector Frederick William in Berlin.这座大型雕像刻画的是安菲特里忒（Amphitrite）——波塞冬之妻，海洋女神与海后。她是涅瑞伊得斯（Nereids）的首领，常被描绘于海洋生物之中，这件作品亦是如此。其创作者安德烈亚斯·施吕特尔（Andreas Schluter）为德国建筑师与雕塑家，以建筑装饰雕塑及柏林的选帝侯腓特烈·威廉骑马雕像闻名。
