This dataset contains the responses of multiple coders (Coder A, B, C, and D) who independently assessed the strategic posture of two semiconductor companies—NVIDIA (NVDA) and Intel (INTC)—over a 10-year period (2015–2023). The evaluation follows the framework established in Kipley et al.’s Optimal Strategic Performance Position (OSPP) model, based on Ansoff’s Strategic Success Paradigm.
Coders rated each of the model’s core dimensions (Environmental Turbulence, Strategic Aggressiveness, and Internal Responsiveness) using a standardized 5-point Likert scale. Each year-company combination was assessed using 65 items reflecting observable strategic behaviors across the three dimensions. The dataset also includes calculated yearly Strategic Posture scores (X1) derived from the coders’ evaluations.
The purpose of the dataset is to enable empirical testing of whether strategy-based ratings (X1) provide better predictive power for stock performance (X3) than traditional market analyst ratings (X2).

Coders remained anonymous during data collection to reduce bias, and instructions were standardized through a detailed coding manual. Coder D corresponds to the principal investigator and is excluded from inter-rater reliability analysis.
