This study analyzes Land Surface Temperature (LST) trends across 13 distinct climate types in the Pacific Northwest region of North America, using MODIS LST data validated with weather station observations. Weather station data were obtained from the Global Historical Climatology Network (GHCN) of NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center (https://www.ncei.noaa.gov) and include daily maximum and minimum air temperature records spanning 2002 to 2023. Additionally, monthly daytime and nighttime LST data were derived from MODIS products (MOD21C3) onboard the Terra satellite for the same period (2002–2023) and accessed through the Google Earth Engine data catalog (https://developers.google.com/earth-engine/datasets/catalog/MODIS_061_MOD21C3).

本研究针对北美太平洋西北地区的13种不同气候类型,分析地表温度(Land Surface Temperature, LST)的变化趋势,采用经气象站观测数据验证的MODIS LST数据开展分析。气象站数据取自美国国家海洋和大气管理局(National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA)下属国家气候数据中心的全球历史气候学网络(Global Historical Climatology Network, GHCN),数据获取地址为https://www.ncei.noaa.gov,包含2002年至2023年的每日最高、最低气温观测记录。此外,同期(2002-2023年)的月度日间与夜间地表温度数据源自Terra卫星搭载的MODIS产品MOD21C3,可通过谷歌地球引擎数据集目录获取,访问地址为https://developers.google.com/earth-engine/datasets/catalog/MODIS_061_MOD21C3。
