The reference genomes are important to increase the level of precision in projects leading to more efficient diagnostic applications. MinION nanopore ultra-long read Third Generation High-throughput Sequencing (HTS) technology is being increasingly used for the implementation of genome sequences, and other applications in biological sciences. Phytophthora with 188 species contains numerous important plant pathogens with many of regulatory concern. Using specimens from the Ex-types (ET), and well-authenticated specimens (SE) (for those which Ex-type lost in collections) we have produced draft genomes for Phytophthora species are: P. boehmeriae SE. P. constricta ET, P. macrochlamydospora ET, P. quininea ET. This information can be used for metagenomics, gene based comparative genomics as well as for diagnostics.

参考基因组对于提升各类研究项目的精准度、助力开发更高效的诊断应用至关重要。MinION纳米孔超长读长第三代高通量测序(High-throughput Sequencing, HTS)技术正愈发广泛地应用于基因组测序及其他生物科学研究领域。疫霉属(Phytophthora)包含188个物种,其中不乏众多受监管关注的重要植物病原菌。本研究借助外模式标本(Ex-types, ET)以及经权威鉴定的标本(SE,适用于外模式标本已在馆藏中遗失的类群),为以下疫霉属物种构建了基因组草图:苎麻疫霉(P. boehmeriae)SE、缢缩疫霉(P. constricta)ET、大孢疫霉(P. macrochlamydospora)ET、昆尼疫霉(P. quininea)ET。该研究数据可应用于宏基因组学、基于基因的比较基因组学研究以及病害诊断领域。
