"Egyptian tourism is a huge national treasure that sometimes gets affected by scammers that hustle on the tourists and take advantage of them.Tis dataset was collected as a part of a graduation project that aimed at developing a mobile application that recognizes the faces of the Egyptian statues and displays information about them in an AR scene.And we managed to achieve a very high accuracy in recognizing the statues we trained our model on and built an AR scene where the user can explore the history of Egypt through his mobile camera and he also can view the history of ancient Egyptians for light reading without the recognition part.The product is a mobile application that helps tourists to know more information about the statues in front of them by scanning the statue. This application supports multiple languages to help the tourists understand the information provided by the application, also it supports online and offline mode for those who do not have internet connection."

埃及旅游业是极具价值的国家宝藏，却时常遭到纠缠游客、借机牟利的骗子侵扰。本数据集系某毕业设计的配套研究成果，该毕业设计旨在开发一款可识别埃及雕像面部特征，并在增强现实（Augmented Reality，AR）场景中展示相关历史信息的移动应用。项目团队在训练模型所用的目标雕像识别任务中，达成了极高的准确率，并搭建了AR场景：用户可通过手机摄像头探索埃及历史；此外还设有无需触发识别功能的古埃及历史轻阅读模块，供用户浏览学习。该移动应用支持游客通过扫描身前的雕像，快速获取其详细信息；应用支持多语言展示，以帮助不同母语的游客理解内容，同时适配在线与离线两种运行模式，可满足无网络连接场景下的使用需求。
