Intergenerational Homelessness

This report provides a comprehensive review of the existing literature on the causes and consequences of intergenerational homelessness. It underscores the critical importance of prevention efforts and examines a range of initiatives aimed at interrupting the cycle of homelessness across generations. These initiatives include programmes designed to sustain tenancies and assist survivors of domestic violence to remain safely housed, and Indigenous approaches to prevention. The report concludes by emphasising the need for holistic, integrated, and prevention-oriented service models to address the complex and multifaceted pathways that lead to homelessness.
