This study was conducted to evaluate the changes in luminal microbiota composition in terminal ileum by long-term PPI treatment in aged F344 rats. Pyrosequencing of 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) gene has been performed by genome sequencer FLX (454 Life Sciences/Roche) and analyzed by metagenomic bioinformatics.
