Metal Chelates Based on Isoxazoline[60]fullerenes

Fullerene C60 reacts with a variety of nitrile oxides, providing access to an array of fullerene-fused heterocycles bearing covalently linked chelate moieties. The improved chelating property of the newly synthesized isoxazoline[60]fullerene adducts toward transition metals allows the syntheses of octahedral and square-planar organometallic compounds of rhenium, iridium, and platinum. This new approach has great potential as a general route to other novel derivatives containing catalytically active transition metals.

C₆₀富勒烯(Fullerene C₆₀)可与多种腈氧化物发生反应，由此可制备得到一系列带有共价连接螯合基团的富勒烯稠合杂环化合物。新合成的异噁唑啉[60]富勒烯加合物对过渡金属展现出更优异的螯合性能，可用于制备铼、铱、铂的八面体及平面正方形构型有机金属化合物。该新方法作为制备其他含催化活性过渡金属的新型衍生物的通用路径，具备极大的应用潜力。
