Assembly of a species of bacteria of economic relevance to the farmed crocodile industry in the Norther Territory (Australia), known to cause brown spot disease and thought to enhance infectivity of other keratinolytic pathogens. Previously known as Dermatophilus crocodyli, however phylogenetic comparisons with sister taxa using the whole genome suggest that Austwickia crocodyli is the more accurate name.
