The main goal in cereal crops like chickpea is to improve yield due to the continually increasing demand for food. Therefore, there is a bias towards big seed genotypes in the grain marker because of the protein, lipid, and carbohydrate content. Although significant advance has been made in understanding the molecular foundation of grain size, limited efforts have focused on determining small grains nutraceutical values. This study carried out comparative proteomics and metabolomics of five chickpeas genotypes, including small and big commercial premium grains locally produced.

鹰嘴豆等谷类作物的核心育种目标,是应对持续增长的粮食需求以提升单位产量。受籽粒中蛋白质、脂质与碳水化合物含量的影响,现有选育工作更倾向于选用大粒基因型。尽管目前在解析籽粒大小的分子调控机制方面已取得显著进展,但针对小粒籽粒营养保健价值的研究却相对匮乏。本研究针对5个鹰嘴豆基因型开展了比较蛋白质组学与代谢组学分析,所涉及的材料包含当地商业化生产的优质大、小粒籽粒。
